Novatek says buys 2 gas fields on Yamal with 13.16 bln rbl bid
MOSCOW, Sep 8 (PRIME) -- Russian gas giant Novatek’s subsidiary Yamal LNG Resources has won an auction for the Neitinskoe and Arkticheskoye deposits in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District with a total bid of 13.155 billion rubles, Novatek said in a statement on Wednesday.
“Yamal LNG Resources has won the auctions for the right to use the subsoil plots, including the Arkticheskoye and Neitinskoye fields, for geological study, exploration and production of hydrocarbons. The license areas are located on the Yamal Peninsula in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District,” the company said.
The reserves of the Arkticheskoe and Neytinskoye fields are estimated at 2.9 billion barrels of oil equivalent, including 413 billion cubic meters of gas and 28 million tonnes of liquid hydrocarbons.
The licenses will be issued for 27 years.
